These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Legacora website at legacoragad.world and your participation in any Legacora session or programme. By accessing the website or booking a session, you agree to these terms. Please read them before proceeding.

Section 1

Scope and Acceptance

These terms apply to all visitors to the Legacora website and to all individuals who enquire about, book, or attend a Legacora session or programme. The terms are written under Malaysian law and apply to services delivered in Johor Bahru and surrounding areas.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not proceed with booking a session or continuing to use the website.

Section 2

Nature of Our Services

Legacora provides document organisation and family heritage workshops only. Our sessions are educational and archival in scope. They cover the labelling, indexing, and organising of personal and family records and keepsakes.

Legacora does not provide legal advice, financial advice, estate planning advice, or opinions on asset division, beneficiary nominations, or tax matters. Nothing communicated during a Legacora session should be understood as legal or financial guidance. Clients requiring professional advice on these matters should consult a qualified professional.

Legacora facilitators are trained in document organisation and records management methodology. They are not lawyers, accountants, or financial advisers.

Section 3

Bookings and Sessions

Sessions are booked by submitting the enquiry form on the website, by telephone, or by email. A booking is confirmed only when Legacora sends a written confirmation — which may be via email — stating the session date, time, service type, and fee.

Where a session takes place at the client's home or chosen location (as in the Personal Records Visit), the client is responsible for providing a suitable space and ensuring that the relevant documents are accessible at the time of the session.

For group sessions (Heritage Reference Workshop and Heritage Records Programme), participant numbers must be confirmed in advance. We reserve the right to adjust session format if participant numbers fall significantly below or above the agreed number.

Section 4

Fees and Payment

Fees for each service are as follows:

Personal Records Visit RM 510
Heritage Reference Workshop RM 1,250
Heritage Records Programme RM 4,400

All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit and are inclusive of printed materials specified for each service. Travel costs outside the Johor Bahru area may be discussed separately at the time of booking. Payment terms and accepted methods will be confirmed in the session confirmation.

Fees are subject to change. The fee applicable to your booking is the fee confirmed in writing at the time of booking.

Section 5

Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please contact us as early as possible. Our general approach:

  • Cancellations made more than 5 working days before the session date may be rescheduled or refunded in full, subject to any printing costs already incurred.
  • Cancellations made within 5 working days of the session date may incur a partial fee to cover preparation and materials work already completed.
  • Where Legacora needs to reschedule due to facilitator availability or unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you as early as possible and offer a suitable alternative date or a full refund.

Specific cancellation terms may be stated in your session confirmation and, where they differ from the above, those specific terms apply.

Section 6

Printed Materials

Each Legacora service includes printed materials prepared specifically for the client's session. These materials — which may include folder sets, printed indexes, binders, or heritage handbooks — are prepared based on information provided before the session.

Materials are intended as organisational reference tools only. They do not constitute legal documents and should not be relied upon as such. Legacora holds no responsibility for how materials are used after delivery.

Replacement printing for lost or damaged materials after a session may be available at an additional cost, subject to facilitator availability.

Section 7

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for the accuracy of information provided during the enquiry, booking, and session process. Legacora designs materials and organises sessions based on the information you share with us; inaccurate information may affect the relevance and usefulness of the output.

Clients should not bring original documents to a session without understanding that Legacora facilitators will handle them in a careful, non-intrusive manner — but that Legacora cannot be held responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration of documents.

Clients attending sessions agree to treat facilitators respectfully and to observe the educational scope of the service without seeking legal, financial, or personal advisory opinions from them.

Section 8

Limitation of Liability

Legacora provides document organisation and heritage workshop services in good faith, with care and attention. However, to the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Legacora's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fee paid for the session in question.

Legacora is not responsible for decisions made by clients based on their own records, documents, or the organisational outputs of a session. Clients are solely responsible for any actions they take regarding their own records, assets, or family matters.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of any third-party information held in documents that clients bring to a session, or for any consequences arising from errors in those documents.

Section 9

Website Use

The Legacora website is provided for informational purposes and to enable enquiries about our services. You may use the website for your personal, non-commercial use only.

You must not use the website in any way that disrupts its functioning, introduces harmful software, attempts to gain unauthorised access to systems, or misrepresents your identity or relationship to Legacora.

All content on the website — including text, layout, and design — belongs to Legacora or its content providers and may not be reproduced without permission.

Section 10

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or from the use of Legacora services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts, with the courts of Johor Bahru as the preferred venue.

Section 11

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on this page with a "last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will endeavour to notify active clients by email. Continued use of the website or booking of sessions after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
