How Every Session Is Structured
Every Legacora session follows the same underlying framework: a pre-session conversation to understand what documents are in scope, a working session using our folder and labelling methodology, and a printed output that the family keeps.
The methodology uses a tiered category structure — broad document types at the top level, with sub-categories adapted to the household. Each folder receives a consistent label, and every category entry appears in the printed index, which lists the folder name, its contents, and where it is physically stored.
Pre-Session Conversation
We confirm scope, identify document types present, and prepare the folder and label materials in advance.
Working Session
Facilitator and household work through the documents together, sorting into the prepared folder structure.
Printed Output
The session concludes with a printed index, binder, or heritage handbook depending on the service selected.
Follow-Up
We check in after the session to confirm the output is accurate and answer any questions about maintaining the system.
Service 01
Personal Records Visit
A short, focused companion visit to your home. The facilitator helps you lay out personal records — identification documents, insurance papers, property records, correspondence, and similar items — into a labelled folder set. The session concludes with a printed index of where each folder lives.
This service is informational and organisational only. It does not cover legal positions, asset division, or beneficiary matters. You leave with a clear folder set and a printed home index.

Service 02
Heritage Reference Workshop
A small-group workshop for a family group — typically four to eight participants. Together, the group assembles a printed reference of where family records, photographs, and keepsakes are held. The workshop is designed as a labelling and reference exercise, not a session for discussing household decisions.
Participants leave with a working draft binder and a labelled folder kit. The group format makes this an effective shared activity, particularly when multiple family members hold or are responsible for different documents.

Service 03 — Most Comprehensive
Heritage Records Programme
A multi-session programme guiding a family through the full organisation of their heritage records. The programme covers inventory, labelling, scanning checklists, family-meeting agenda templates, and concludes with a final printed heritage handbook. It proceeds gently over several weeks — typically four to eight — with sessions scheduled at comfortable intervals.
The programme is educational and archival in scope. It does not include legal opinions or advice on household matters. The heritage handbook it produces belongs entirely to the family and requires no further engagement with Legacora to remain useful.
